Case 1: Cydia Keeps Crashing

Cydia often crash after the jailbreak process. You should notice an error message that says “x HTTP /1.1 500 Internal Server Error”. This is probably because your installation was incomplete. This could be a web issue.

Solution:

Make sure you have a good internet connection, restart your device. If the problem still persists, then the only option left is to rejailbreak your iDevice and reinstall Cydia.

Case 2: Unable To Load Downloaded Packages

This is a situation whereby an iPhone users is unable to locate downloaded packages on Cydia.

Solution:

Reboot your device,locate the downloaded package in “Installed tweaks”. If you are still unable to find it, clear some Cydia sources and reload the list.

Case 3: Cydia Crashing Upon Load

In cases where Cydia crashes upon launching, you should install some softwares like mobile terminal, iFile, SSH, or get file system from your iPhone browser(Look for other guides for any of the mentioned software).

Solution:

To fix this issue, you need iFunbox or iTools on your laptop/PC. Achieving that, connect your device to the PC through USB. Now locate and delete these two files listed below:

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/Cydia.list

/var/lib/Cydia/metadata.plist

Case 4: Cydia Not Loading

One common Cydia related problem faced by iPhone users is the inability for Cydia to load. The message “Unable to load(the internet connection appears to be offline)” is displayed on your screen.

Solution:

Check if you have a good connection. There are instances when Cydia won’t load due to slow internet connection. Time and date settings also affect the launching of Cydia software.

Case 5: Cydia Not Launching Issue

Sometimes, Cydia won’t launch even after rebooting your device. It can be very discouraging. However, there are steps to fix the problem.

Solution:

This is because Cydia may be experiencing too many connected server when downloading it. You should reinstall Cydia with the SSH program.
