Everybody and their dog is on their phone doing something. Millions of people are using their phones to play a variety of games for pleasure or just to pass the time in the subway. Some people prefer a more dynamic game, and it does not get more dynamic than Subway Surfers.
The game is the most popular in the endless runner genre and is sure to gain a spot on your device. Subway Surfers is free to play but there are in-app purchases in case you want to spend money to get ahead of the curve.
What is the game about?
In Subway Surfers you play as a kid that runs around the subway network. The character does this to escape an inspector and his doggy assistant. A scene straight out of the ‘80 New York punk scene. Ninja Turtles comes to mind.
You need to stay alive. This means avoiding the trains, not getting eaten by the dog, and probably staying away from spots that electrocute you. The character can pick up gems and coins to upgrade his gear and continue with his hooligan lifestyle.
Power-ups
Your power-ups should be boosted with care as they are crucial for gaining an edge in tricky situations. The jetpack is one of the best to use as it gives you a lot of mobility. Other useful abilities are the 2X multiplier, the super sneakers, and the coin magnet.
