A big update has been prepared for Teamfight Tactics, and it’s looking like the devs aren’t slowing down. It has been announced this week that the devs will introduce the game mode’s first origin soon, along with four new characters.
The changes to the game are active as of July 31st in public beta, and live servers will get the patch on the 14th of August.
League of Legends’ Teamfight Tactics Update Brings New Changes
Hextech Bonus
Hextech will be a bonus/disable combo. It will provide a 2/4 bonus while disabling 2 or 4 enemies. These features will depend on what kind of bonus you have and items on the enemy’s side of the fight.
The bonus will begin by choosing a random enemy and disabling one of the active items in their possession. The Hextech bonus will come in handy with opposing teams that have 1-2 carry heroes that stack their items rather than an even spread among the team.
Teamfight Tactics will have each of the 4 Hextech characters be of a different class. But each will have an ultimate ability like the other heroes in the roster.
Camille
- Class: Blademaster
- Ability: Hextech Ultimatum. Camille plants herself to the ground and focuses damage on the target unit. All allies will also focus damage on target unit if they are able to.
Jayce
- Class: Shapeshifter
- Ability: Thundering Blow and Transform Mercury Cannon. Jayce performs a knockback on the target unit, following up with switching to his ranged attack form where he benefits from max attack speed for a limited time.
VI
- Class: Brawler
- Ability: Assault and Battery. While targeting the furthers unit, VI lunges towards them and knocks back all enemy units along the while. Damage is dealt on impact target.
Jinx
- Class: Gunslinger
- Ability: Get Excited. The excited mode is caused by performing takedowns. The first one sees her gain attack speed. After the second one, she takes out Fishbones and does Splash damage with basic attacks.
