IoT is one of the hottest subjects of 2019, and this year alone, IoT Analytics’ estimates that IoT startups earned about $3.6B in funding.

Some statistics say that there are about 1018 startups creating products or services that are related to IoT.

Here is a list of IoT startups of 2019 from IoT Analytics, in no particular order:

Bright Machines

Being one of the fastest evolving IoT startups of the world, Bright Machines has went from basically zero at the beginning of the previous year up to approximately 200 employees today. The business specialized on “micro-factories”, consisting of software, robot cells and new software tools designed to optimize manufacturing efficiency.

However, there is a good reason behind this: The leadership of the startup contains former executives from Flextronics, Amazon and even Autodesk.

Element

Also known as Element Analytics, this startup is amazing because it focuses on software designed for industrial analytics, like Digital Twins, especially in heavy industries.

The company is backed up by a serious list of investors, including Honeywell, Kleiner Perkins, GE, and partners like Microsoft, Uptake and others.

IoTium

IoTium is a fast-developing IoT startup which focuses on software-based network infrastructure developed in the Silicon Valley zone for manufacturing and related requirements.

The company more than doubled its employee count over the last two years. One of the most famous members is John Chambers, former CEO of Cisco, a man who is extremely active in the world of investors.

READY Robotics

READY Robotics is perhaps the quirkiest startup on this list, and their aim is to develop and benefit from automation of manufacturing processes worldwide.

The company’s roots can be traced back at Johns Hopkins University, and saw a 150% growth in employees over the last two years, producing about 15 robot systems monthly.
