YouTube Adds New Monetization Method

In recent years, social media has become a huge part of our lives. Social networks have become the main source of information for many of us. YouTube is one of the most influential social networks out there, which also birthed many successful celebrities, like Pewdiepie or James Charles.

YouTube has been around for some time, and it has always been popular since its beginning. However, in the past few years, we have witnessed an increase in popularity for this platform.

Since the network has such a big audience, YouTube decided to add new features and updates to enhance the experience of the viewers. However, all of the most exciting features are not free of cost. The latest addition is represented by Super Stickers, a new way of monetizing content and videos.

YouTube Adds New Monetization Method – Stickers

YouTube noticed that the audience is highly entertained by the ability to interact with their favorite content creators, so they came up with “sticky messages”. These Super Stickers are basically animated messages that can help you spice up your messages and they cost $4.99 per month.
This new monetization method adds to the older way YouTuber earned money, which is ads.

Stickers will give the creator the chance to gain money directly from their viewers. Therefore, this could be beneficial for all parts involved. If stickers gain popularity and viewers choose to use them, content creators may not feel the need to add so many ads to their videos, since this will not be their only source of income on YouTube.

Super stickers could turn out to be a great addition to the platform by providing viewers with a stronger sense of connection with their favorite content creators. On the other hand, the whole thing could backfire, since many people may believe YouTube only made this addition to compel people to give them more money. We will just have to wait and see what the reaction of the public is.
