Are you experiencing delayed message delivery on your GBWhatsApp app? Here’s how to fix it.

A number GBWhatsApp users have complained of a draggy error, which delays the delivery of WhatsApp messages on the app. Typically, messages roll a few seconds late, and while this is mostly caused by internet connection issues, other factors are often in play.

If you’re encountering this error, herein are some fixes for you. Read on!

How to Fix Delayed WhatsApp Messages on GBWhatsApp

First off, it’s important to note that this issue is not exclusive to GBWhatsApp. In fact, it’s mainly encountered on WhatsApp. The main cause has been attributed to unstable internet connection, device configuration issues and/or issues with the app itself.

In any case, below are some fixes you can try:

Note: Make sure your internet connection is stable and disable VPN(s) and firewalls (if any).

  1. Restart App

For a start, do the following:

  • Close the app.
  • Disable internet connection.
  • Relaunch the app.

If you’re still encountering delayed delivery, proceed to the next fix.

  1. Enable Background Data

If you’re not receiving GBWhatsApp’s notifications, and you have to open the app to access received messages, the background data is probably disabled.

To fix this, you’d have to enable background data for the app, as described below:

  • Close GBWhatsApp and go to “Settings”.
  • Select “Data usage” > “Mobile data usage” or “Cellular data usage”.
  • Select “GBWhatsApp”.
  • Locate “Background data” and enable it (if disabled).
  • Exit window.

Now, relaunch GBWhatsApp and see if message notifications now pop up fine. If messages still get delayed, try the next fix.

  1. Turn Off Battery Saver & Related Features

Often times, when a device set to the “Battery Saver” mode, such device’s internet connectivity becomes restricted. Hence, if your phone is in this mode, it could be what’s causing the “delayed delivery” on GBWhatsApp.

To fix this, simply set your device back to the normal mode, and you should be good.

If the error persists, try the next fix.

  1. Clear Cache

To do this:

  • go to Settings;
  • select Apps > GBWhatsApp;
  • click Force stop;
  • select Clear cache; and
  • exit window.

If you encounter any delayed delivery henceforth, try and update your GBWhatsApp to the latest version, or simply uninstall and reinstall the app.
