Even if you’re not an anime fan, chances are that you’ve heard of Attack on Titan. Since its debut in 2013, the anime has become extremely popular. The series also received huge mainstream attention. Attack on Titan is adapted from Hajime Isayama’s eponymous manga series.

So far, the series has received three seasons. Also, the second half of the third season premiered in April 2019. And it concluded its run on 1st July that year. The series became an instant success with both critics and viewers praising it. Furthermore, it is often considered one of the best anime of all time.

Attack on Titan Season 4: Release date

Fans of the anime can finally rejoice. The series has been officially renewed for the fourth season. Additionally, it was confirmed that season four would also be its last. Till now, the new season is scheduled to release in this year’s fall season. But, the current circumstances could have forced a change of plans. However, no new release date has been announced. So, we believe that season four would keep its initial date.

Attack on Titan Season 4: Possible cast

Regarding the cast, we can confirm that most of the primary characters will be returning. In fact, characters such as Eren Yeager (played by Yuki Kaji), Mikasa Ackerman (Yui Ishikawa), Armin (Marina Inoue) will be seen on the screens.

Moreover, other characters including Historia (Shiori Mikami), Hange Zoe (Romi Park), Zeke (Takehito Koyasu) will also be back. And of course, the anime would be incomplete without Captain Levi (Hiroshi Kamiya).

Attack on Titan Season 4: Expected plot

From what we know now, we are sure that season four would be unlike anything fans have ever seen. Also, we can confirm that the fourth season will be based on the last volume of the manga. The new season will surely continue the story from the previous season.

Moreover, Eren’s actual plan regarding Eldia will begin to unfold. Additionally, we also assume that the dynamic between Historia and Eren will undergo major changes. We also believe viewers will learn more about the nine original titans. Regardless of what happens, fans will be in for a ride.

Attack on Titan Season 4: Storyline

The anime is set in a fictional world. In this world, huge creatures known as ‘Titans’ roam the lands and devour humans. And to protect themselves, humanity has taken refuge behind walled cities. Furthermore, numerous regiments have also been created to fight the Titans.

The story is centered around Eren Yeager, a teenage boy. Due to certain events, he wants to take revenge against the creatures. Thus, he joins the scout regiment. Also, his childhood friends Mikasa and Armin accompany him. The anime then follows the scout regiment as they fight both internal and external foes. In essence, the series is a dark fantasy, action-adventure anime.

Attack on Titan Season 4: Other details

Viewers who want to catch up to the series before season four can rest easy. As it was recently announced that a compilation film will release sometime this year. In addition, the new movie is titled, ‘Attack on Titan: Chronicle’.

Furthermore, we can also confirm that Studio Wit won’t be in charge of the anime anymore. In May this year, Mappa was declared as season four’s producer. Moreover, the director, character designers, and other staff were also replaced.
