Kinghtfall season 3
Knightfall is a Historial fiction series written and directed by Don Handfiled and Richard Rayner. It premiered on the 6th of December 2017 and aired on the History channel. It was renewed for season 2 and released it on March 25, 2019. The show made two consecutive seasons but had to be called off because of the downfall in the number of viewers.
The storyline
Knightfall is a story that revolves around a group of people called the Knights Templers. These Templers are people whose job is to protect Europian Christian travelers who tour around the Holy land. Over a span of two hundred years, these Templars grew in number and went on to become the most powerful military force. These soldiers have to follow a very rigid code that includes not possessing money.
Templers in possession of money have to give it for up infrastructural development. In the first season, the Templers aspire to recover the holy grail. They set up bases in France in order to acquire the Holy Grail. The entire season portrays the struggles they go through in order to protect the grail. This series introduces us to Landry du Lauzon, one of the main characters who is a brave and powerful Knight. However, in the end of season 1, a tragic event occurs and the grail is broken.
In season 2 the King declares the Knights Templers to be their official enemies. The Templars ask Landry to leave and immediately cut him off the group. In spite of which he seeks pardon and rejoins the Templers. The season revolves around the struggles he faces.
The cast
This series has some spectacular actors who have done amazing jobs portraying their roles. Some of these include Tom Cullen as Landry, Padraic Delaney as Gawain, Simon Merrells as Tancrede, Julian Ovenden as William de Nogaret, Ed Stoppard as King Philip and many other supporting actors who have done justice to their respective roles.
Will there be a season three?
The second season of Knightfall concluded on 13th May 2019 after which it was officially canceled. History stopped making the series because there was a steep downfall in the number of viewers. In fact, some of the sources claimed that the second season had only about 650,000 viewers. On the whole only 50% of people who watched season 1 had continued to watch season 2. Besides this series history had to cancel another series called Project blue book. In conclusion, we can say that Kinghtfall has officially ended for fans of chivalry and medieval drama.
