Grand theft auto is an action-adventure based game series developed by David Jones and Mike Dailly. Rockstar North is the development house that develops these games and Rockstar games are its publisher. Grand theft auto was released in the year 1997 when DMA design had just begun to develop. The series has released about eleven independent games and four expansion packs. Grand theft auto 3 was a milestone. It was the first game to introduce 3-dimensional effects in the GTA universe.
Subsequent games that were released also were built similar to GTA 3. The series became very successful as they sold out around 280 million units earning about $9 billion. Android, Nintendo DS, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 1,2,3,4, and 5, Microsoft windows, Gameboy Advance are few of the Platforms on which this game can be hosted. The Telegraph accredit grand theft auto as Britan’s most successful exports.
The game Layout and gameplay details
The game has been designed to display imaginary places in cities called San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City to represent some cities of New York, Maimi, and California. The gameplay focuses on the player carrying out activities that include driving, shooting, action-adventure, Stealth and racing, roleplay, and more. In the game, the prime mover should fight against or do some activities to stop the rival. The rival person is the one who has deceived the prime player and they are the ones who have an impact on the player and determine his progress. Dennis Hopper, Samuel L Jackson, James wood, Debbie Harry, Axl Rose, and many other stars have voiced these games.
Release date
Though the series is very successful we do not have exact details of the release date. Besides, there have been a lot of rumors flying around concerning GTA 6. However, Internet sources have suggested that the release might happen in August of 2020. In the past developers have taken around a year and 10 months to release the series in a sequence thus we can expect that GTA 6 will be here by August. Another source also stated that the game is in its early stages of development as of April 2020. Again another source said that GTA 6 will be developed and released in small sequences.
Finally, one of the makers Karl Slatoff stated that there will be 93 new titles coming up in the next five years but all these are most likely to release in 2021. This is kind of a disappointment to all the GTA fans.
The map size and locations
Posts Have suggested that this game will be in Vice city and be based on Rio de Janeiro.
However, some other posts say that it can be located in Vice City, London, Tokyo, Mexico, Chicago, and many others. We will have to wait for more details, leaks, and announcements to find out the exact information.
What’s in store
There have been some rumors flying around that the main character will be associated with some drug trade in the drug empire in Vice City. One of the makers Leslie Benzies said “of course at some point, we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas”. Going by what he stated we can anticipate that there will be more action and adventure as the game will be developed to the extent that the players can travel to any place they want. This is good news for the fans but they will have to wait for a very long time.
