Fans of Japanese anime would be well aware of Prison School. After all, it is a very well renowned ecchi anime. The anime is based on Akira Hiramoto’s manga series of the same name. Produced by J.C. Staff studio, the anime originally aired from July to September 2015. Furthermore, the anime only has one season containing 12 episodes. Also, Tsutomu Mizushima serves as the series director. Additionally, an OVA sequel named ‘Prison School: Mad Wax’ was released in March 2016.
Prison School Season 2: Release date
Fans have been eagerly anticipating a second season ever since 2015. However, the possibility of season two seems quite unlikely. So far, the anime is yet to receive a renewal. Furthermore, the director himself expressed doubts about whether a new season would happen. For now, we’ll have to wait for an official word to know the anime’s future for sure.
Prison School Season 2: Possible cast
Considering that the anime hasn’t been renewed, we can’t comment on the cast. Still, we assume that if a season two happens, the five ‘prisoners’ would reprise their roles. This means Kiyoshi (voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya), Reiji (Kazuyuki Okitsu), Takehito ( Katsuyuki Konishi) etc would return to the school. In addition, Mari Kurihara (Sayaka Ohara) and other members of the student councils are also expected to join.
As usual with anime, the series features multiple sets of voice-cast. For season two, we expect the Japanese cast to remain the same. However, we can’t say the same for the English cast. The English dub of the series wasn’t received well. And if a season two happens, we think a change in the cast will be necessary.
Prison School Season 2: Expected plot
About the plot of the next season, we know next to nothing. Though, we assume season two would pick up from the 2016’s OVA. The consequences of Underground Student Council members imprisonment will be delved into. And, the male students’ life out of prison will also be explored. The students would also have to adjust to their new surroundings. Furthermore, the rivalry between the Underground and Aboveground school councils will also be shown in the second season.
Prison School Season 2: Storyline
The story takes place in Hachimitsu Academy. It’s an all-girls institution that decided to take in male students. And, it follows Kiyoshi and five other boys who enroll in the school. On the very first day, they are caught trying to get into the school’s bathing area. After that, they are arrested and put into the school’s prison block for a month. Furthermore, the Underground School Council acts as their overseer and punishes them. But, the boys get fed-up with the punishment and plan to escape the prison.
Prison School Season 2: Trailer
As mentioned before, the series is yet to be renewed. So, fans waiting for a trailer will have to be disappointed. Additionally, we don’t expect the trailer to drop anytime soon. However, if any new developments happen, we’ll let you know. Stay tuned for more.
