You don’t want to miss out on this award-winning Japanese manga series! Beastars is an anime TV series adapted by Orange for its first season that aired on October 8, 2019. Netflix has picked up the series for its English release in all of North America. We know that Season 2 is in the works.

Beastars Season 2: the Expected Release Date
The season was supposed to release in August this year. However, there are rumors that it will possibly come out as late as February 2021. We don’t know if there is any truth to them, though. There has been no confirmation whatsoever from Orange or Netflix.

It will be released in Japan before it is launched on Netflix for the global audience. Realistically, the series will return sometime in 2021.
Beastars Season 2: the Cast
The cast will have the following characters back:
- Chikahiro Kobayashi as Legoshi
- Sayaka Senbongi as Haru
- Junya Enoki as Jack
- Yoshiyuki Shimozuma as Voss
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Juno
- Yuuki Ono as Louis
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kai
Others include Akio Ohtsuka as Gouhin, Fukushi Ochiai as Sanou, Takeo Otsuka as Collot, Yūma Uchida as Mizuno.
Beastars Season 2: Expected Plot
The story is based on a manga series, so there is some clue on what Season 2 will be about. For those who haven’t read the manga, you can follow up with the chapters 48-98 on which the story is likely to be based.
Tem is murdered in the first season; the next season will take the direction from there – finding out who the murderer is. We have a hint that the killer is a member of the school’s drama club. A post-credits scene showed the person coming out of the bathroom and later running into Legoshi who told him that everybody was waiting for him. (Legoshi works as a stagehand in the drama club)
The season can also explore the possibility that the lions did not kill Louis, after all. We need to wait until the new season to find out more.
Beastars: the Storyline
Cherryton Academy is a school for carnivorous and herbivorous students. Legoshi is a gray wolf, quiet and shy, who shares a room with other carnivorous students. He is a member of the drama club, which is headed by Louis, who is a red deer. On one eventless night, Tem the alpaca is killed which causes tension between the herbivorous and carnivorous students.
Haru, a small rabbit, has had a crush on Louis for a long time. Legoshi starts to build emotions for her. They spend a night together in a love hotel when Legoshi almost eats her. The following day, they leave for school together.
Beastars Season 2: Trailer
We don’t have a trailer yet. Also, there has been no communication on Netflix’s end. So, expect it to drop in 2021 before the actual release of the season.
