Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun 2: Maverick is going to make a comeback on December 23, 2020. Tom Cruise is going to make a comeback in the sequel and we are expecting to see some more familiar faces.
It is an American action drama. This movie is going to be the sequel to 1986’s ‘Top Gun’. We will see Tom Cruise and Kilmer reprising their roles. All the Tom Cruise fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie.
Release Date: “Top Gun 2: Maverick”
There have been many release dates so far! Initially, was going to release in July 2019 but paramount Pictures pushed it to June 26, 2020. The sad part is that the release date has been postponed to December 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the latest reports, Top Gun 2: Maverick will be hitting the theatres on December 23, 2020, and we are wishing no more delays. It will be quite exciting and nostalgic to see all the actors together again. The tagline “Feel the Need” is already giving the fans goosebumps and they can’t wait to see the sequel of the movie.
Cast: “Top Gun 2: Maverick”
- Tom Cruise will be playing the role of Captain Pete Maverick Michelle. He is a flight instructor and a test pilot.
- Jennifer Connelly will be playing the role of Penny benjamin. There will be a love angle between Maverick and Penny. She is a bar owner and a single mother.
- Miles Teller will be playing the role of Lieutenant Bradley Rooster Bradshaw. He is a pilot trainee.
- Jon Hamm will be playing the role of a vice admiral.
- Glen Powell will be playing the role of a pilot trainee, “Hangman”.
- Ed Harris will be playing the role of a rear admiral. He is maverick’s superior.
Other than the main cast, Monica Barbaro, Charles Parnell, Manny Jacinto, Jay Ellis, Jake Picking, Raymond Lee, Greg Davis, etc., will also be seen in the movie.
Plot: “Top Gun 2: Maverick”
The plot of the movie revolves around Maverick, who is an aviator and has 33 years of experience. He is the main protagonist. His job is to train the pilots. Bradley Bradshaw comes with all the problems and because of him, Maverick starts to doubt his experience. The movie portrays how the mission will alter his life and how he will confront his fears.
Storyline: “Top Gun 2: Maverick”
The production has not revealed too many details about the storyline but there are rumors that the storyline will revolve around the relationship between the human pilots and unmanned drones. This movie is going to be the sequel to the movie ‘Top Gun’. In this movie, Maverick will train the new pilots. These trainees are the new generation of US Navy Pilots. We will see him confronting his past and will see him going on a dangerous mission. This mission will demand his sacrifice and his sweat and blood. Maverick’s character will be at the center of the story and he will be seen fighting against all the odds in order to affirm the value of human pilots.
