Marvel’s Daredevil had established a great foundation for Marvel’s live-action on a small screen until Netflix opted to cancel the show after three acclaimed seasons. Fans were upset after the show’s unexpected cancelation, and they have always been optimistic about the show’s remake.
Daredevil was mostly watched and critically acclaimed series in the streaming service. Everyone was hoping for a fourth season renewal, but Netflix literally broke everyone’s heart with cancellation. However, they also announced that the character would live in future Marvel projects if ever happened.
Like other Marvel shows streaming in Netflix, Daredevil also exists in the same universe as Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since Daredevil has a connection with the celebrated franchise, multiple speculations emerged that Disney+ will renew the show for the fourth season. Even the chairman of Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer and International, Kevin A. Mayer, reported that Disney+ is the obvious home to renew Daredevil.
Charlie Cox, who portrayed Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, has frequently interviewed that he would love to return in as the crime fighter in Hell’s Kitchen. Kevin Smith also once reported that he had heard Marvel had been trying to make a reboot show featuring Cox as Daredevil. A final showdown between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, hasn’t happened yet in the series.
Vincent D’Onofrio’s performance as Kingpin is also one of the best things that happened to the superhero series. Fans absolutely loved D’Onofrio’s work in delivering the depth of character. While fans are still hoping to see him once again as Kingpin, a new actor has expressed his interest in portraying the crime boss, Kingpin. WWE superstar Big Show recently revealed that he would try all his might to land the role of Kingpin if Marvel ever makes the reboot of the show.
Big Show is exceptionally fit for the portrayal as he weighs around 500 pounds, and is seven feet tall. However, fans still hope that Vincent D’Onofrio would be the suitable choice on the basis of his performance across three seasons. If Daredevil reboot is in the cards for Marvel and considers D’Onofrio doesn’t return, Big Show is the worthy candidate to replace him as Kingpin.
Sure, everyone agrees!
