In the summer of 2019, HBO enamored the audience with the release of its latest original series, EUPHORIA. The sweet-sixteen tale became an instant hit amongst teenagers. Rue, Jules, and their peers went through a lot in a short span of time. The viewers just couldn’t get enough of the story and hence, demanded a new season. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming season of Euphoria.
“Euphoria Season 2” – Release Date
The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has cast a shadow on every industry there is. And the show business is not an exception. The previous season aired in the summer last year, but by the looks of it, we can’t say we would have another season in the summer of 2020. However, we can assure you that HBO won’t leave us fans hanging dry. While the series is delayed, HBO di announce on social media that the cast was back together and the plans of season 2 are on the table. However, if the filming does start this year, then mark your calendars for early 2021 release of “Euphoria Season 2”.
“Euphoria Season 2” – Cast
As far as the cast is concerned, we do not have an official word from the makers of the show. However, given the fact that the show owes the majority of its fan following to the star-cast, we can expect some of our favorite characters to be back. Assuming the same, we are hoping that Season 2 brings back
- Zendaya as Rue
- Jules Vaughn as Hunter Schafer
- Nate Jacobs as Jacob Elordi
- Kat Hernandez as Barbie Ferriera
- Lexi Howard as Maude Apatow
- Gia Bennett as Storm Reid
- Cal Jacobs as Eric Dane
Fans can be sure to see some fascinating new characters too.
“Euphoria Season 2” –Plot
Season 1 could not have had a better ending. Maddy finally ended things with Nate, Jules ran away to the city, Kat and Ethan finally put aside their differences. But as the high from the season 1 finale settled, we realized that the final episode had open a floodgate of questions. We are hoping that Season 2 would be able to resolve some of the previous season conflicts. However, we could expect the show to explore Rue’s relapse and struggles with addiction on a deeper level. The relationship between Rue and Jules might also take some decisive turns. Since we have no official plot revelation, we can just sit tight and wait for Season 2 to hit our TV screens.
“Euphoria Season 1”- Storyline
Season 1 of Euphoria was received by the critics and the viewers alike. Season 1 had 10 episodes with a running time of 50-60 minutes each. Each episode is told from the perspective of a different character narrated by Rue Bennett (Zendaya). Rue began taking pills to cope with the death of her father, but slowly she was exposed to more dangerous substances. One thing led to another, and before she knew, she fell prey to the dangerous world of addiction. The show is all about offering a glimpse of the lives of people without any filters or ridicule.
