Overlord is a Japanese animation web series directed by Minoru Ashina and produced by Puyukal. The series first came out in July 2015. Two compilation anime films also were released after the first season, which aired in Japan on February 25 of 2017. Its genre includes Dark fantasy and Isekai. It is being produced by madhouse productions.

The storyline

This is a story of a high-level virtual reality player who finds himself stuck in the virtual reality universe along with his guildmates who are supposedly his servants since the game continues to run even after the time of service—this virtual reality game called ‘Yggdrasil.’ The game is almost about to end, Momonga, who is the master of the dark guild Ainz Ooal Gown decides to spend his last few moments in the game. Surprisingly he is still conscious even though it has passed midnight. Even though the servers have shut down, he realizes that the nonplayer characters have developed personalities. Momonga and his loyal servants work to find out and investigate why this development has taken place, and they are the only beings that are affected or if there are others too.

The plot

Season four will show us how the sorcerer’s kingdom is going to be ruled and how much power and strength are required for it. It is, however, going to be a roller coaster ride for him. Even though he has achieved command

over the others in the past few seasons, his rule is at gunpoint. He has to integrate is powers and abilities in order to save himself. There is going to be a lot of new and exciting news for the overlord fans this season.

The date of release

The fans of overlord might have to wait for a little longer, the spread of the COVID- 19 pandemics has slowed down the making of the series. The producers have not announced any specific dates, however, rumors have been spreading that the next season might release somewhere in the middle of 2021. As the last season ended with Aniz trying to save people that are stuck along with him in the game. Aniz will be showing us how proficient he is in ruling the kingdom and how he attacks his problems, there by protecting the sorcerer’s kingdom.
