Gothic – The Original Game
Gothic is a fantasy-based, single-player action role-playing video game. It has been originally designed for Microsoft windows by a German gaming company Piranha Bytes. The game has been an immense success and garnered a huge fan base. The game is set in a fantasy realm during the mediaeval times. The game concentrates on the fight between humans and orcs.
The Renewed Version
Considering the insane popularity of the game for 18 years the company TQH Nordic decided to relaunch the game. The company launched a playable teaser in December 2019. Gamers who already had at least one game from piranha bytes in their steam were able to play it. The teaser was a measuring rod to understand the flow of the market so that a decision could be made on whether the game should be relaunched or not. The teaser proved to be sensational and received positive feedback. Nearly 180,000 people played the teaser thus immediately eliminating any and every doubt in the mind of the makers.
What to Expect ??
TQH Nordic has assured the gamers that all possible feedbacks are incorporated to make the game better in every aspect. They confirmed that the game is going to be “less colourful” and “grittier“. The makers have also pointed out that the latest version will be based on the original game launched in 2001 specifically and not on the later instalments. The Control Features will be made simpler and it will be more compatible with the NextGen Consoles.

The original game was developed by Piranha Bytes in about 4 years. With added updates and improved features, TQH Nordic has hinted at the possibility of delay in the release of the game. TQH Nordic in order to develop the game is all set to establish a new studio in Barcelona, Spain. The company has not shed light on any possible release dates yet but it is highly likely that we will receive the good news anytime soon!
