“No Game No Life” is a Japanese anime TV show based on a light novel series of the same name by Yu Kamiya. The beauty of this series is that the co-creator is none other than his wife, Mashiro Hiiragi! The first season came out way back in 2014, and boy did it make an impact on fans! However, there’s an interesting story regarding the popularity of this show!
The show first gained its popularity, not after it made a worldwide debut, but after it got mentioned in Japan’s famous magazine “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!“. And it never really looked back after that. Apart from the anime series, it has also got its movie called “No Game No Life: Zero.” But the big question is, can fans expect a Season 2 in place soon? Release date: “No Game No Life Season 2.”
Well, to be honest, there hasn’t been any official updates from the creators itself regarding Season 2. But we can give out some general observations which might provide some lead! Well, “No Game No Life Season 1” was recently released on Netflix. So considering it came out six years ago, this might be an attempt to create a stir before Season 2 is announced. Not a bad plan, I must say!
Another aspect is that there is a huge amount of content left to be covered, considering Kamiya has continued his manga till now! So, once they decide to go for a second installment, content shouldn’t be an issue!
So keeping these things in mind, it’s pretty safe to say that there is a possibility that a Season 2 is in place. However, considering the global pandemic situation, even a late-2020 release is out of the question! 2021, maybe! We’ll have to wait and see.
Cast: “No Game No Life Season 2”
Well, the story revolves around the life and adventures of the two introverted siblings, Sora and Shiro. The other characters who’ve also been regulars in the entire timeline are Stephanie Dora, Jibril, Warbeast, and Kurami Zell.
As we’ve mentioned earlier, the creators of the manga are Yu Kamiya and his. However, the chief director for the first season was Atsuko Ishizuka.
Plot: “No Game No Life Season 2”
There’s quite a mystery regarding how Season 2 might turn out! Season 1 ended with Sora and Shiro preparing themselves for the much stronger gamers “WarBeast.”
From what we’ve learned from the actual manga, the duo and their allies realize soon enough that due to Izuna’s incredible abilities to defy the laws of physics, defeating them in their own game is impossible. So they set a trap for him. But does he fall for it? Yes, he does! Sorry for the spoiler, though!
But don’t worry, this isn’t the end of the tale. Even the novel has covered only five of the sixteen ruling species that come under the rule of “Blank”! So, what comes next? Well, we can just wait and watch!
Storyline: “No Game No Life Season 2”
The game, “Blank,” defying the laws of physics! What? Well, if you haven’t seen the series, all this might not make any sense to you! If at all, it might even sound gibberish. Don’t worry! We’ll clear it out for you!
The story revolves around Sora and his younger stepsister Shiro, two introverted little kids who form an undefeated duo in the world of online gaming. They become so popular as “Blank” (which is their gaming name!) that they get challenged to a game of chess by Tet, a God from another dimension.
This is where things go to another level altogether! The “Blank” manages to defeat Tet, and get invited to come and compete at Disboard. Disboard is a city from a parallel universe where everything’s magically bound to games! There’s no money or violence involved, its just loads of players playing games and the outcomes defining what should be done!
