Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is an immensely popular anime television series. After the fourth season aired last year, fans are waiting for the release of the fifth season.
The anime television series created by David Productions started airing from 2012 with Phantom Blood. A total of 152 episodes—across four seasons— have aired since the inception of series based on the manga of the same name. The anime series has adapted five manga volumes out of eight published volumes.
The studio adapted the first two volumes of manga Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency into the first season. Stardust Crusaders was adapted into the second season while Diamond Is Unbreakable and Golden Wind was adapted into the third and fourth seasons. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is unlike most of the anime series.
The series apparently follows the adventures of the Joestar family, but every season introduces new generations. The previous season doesn’t have a connection with the next one. The adventures happen across various places on the earth, starting from the end of the 19th century to the present times. The main theme is that the titular protagonist, JoJo, defeats the supernatural foes using their special power.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean [Season 5]
Every successor season has followed the manga line up. So, keeping that way, the upcoming season must be the sixth volume of the manga, Stone Ocean. Hirohiko Araki and Shueisha published the sixth part back in 200-2003.
Stone Ocean takes place in Florida, USA, and the protagonist is Jotaro Kujo’s daughter, Jolyne Cujoh. Jolyne is framed for the murder and taken to Green Dolphin St. Prison. At the prison, DIO’s disciples are waiting to slaughter her. Before DIO’s disciples could take her down, Jotaro pays her a visit and warns about the foes. Enrico Pucci, a disciple of DIO, attacks Jortaro and steals his Stand and memories. Luckily, Jotaro’s revelation has awakened Jolyne’s Stand.
Jolyne then teams up with fellow inmates to bring her father back and save the earth from DIO’s evil vision. The fourth season aired last year, which means we can expect the fifth season later this year. If the production of the fifth season was affected by coronavirus pandemic, then we have to wait till summer 2021.
