This year’s NBA 2K game will have just two editions, with the Mamba Forever Edition replacing the former Legends Edition to honor Kobe Bryant.

Unlike the usual trio of editions, there are two editions this year – Standard and Mamba Forever Edition.
NBA 2K21 Standard Edition Pre-Order
NBA 2K21 is available for £54.99 / $65 on current-gen consoles – if you pre-order now you’ll guarantee your copy on release day.

However, the Standard Edition does not include dual-access to next-gen and the game will set you back £64.99 / $70 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

For NBA 2K21, the Legend Edition is replaced by the Mamba Forever Edition, celebrating the late great Kobe Bryant.

Carry over Progress to Next-Gen
NBA 2K21 will feature MyTEAM Cross-Progression and a Shared VC Wallet within the same console family (PS4 to PS5, Xbox One to Xbox Series X).

This means that if you pre-order the Mamba Forever Edition on current-gen, any MyTeam bonus/progress will carry over to your new console.
This is unfortunately an inferior feature when compared to Dual Entitlement from EA, which will allow players to get a free next-gen upgrade for Madden 21 and FIFA 21 after purchasing current-gen versions of the game. But for now, it’s what we’ve got.
