NBA 2K21 had its first major showing at the PS5 reveal event in June.
Now it’s time to reveal cover stars, and so far, we’ve gotten Damian Lillard.

Next-gen cover star reveal date
The next-gen cover star will be announced at 10am ET / 3pm BST TODAY.

The big question is who will it be? And where will the third cover athlete appear?
NBA 2K21 Cover Star Predictions
Zion Williamson was front and center of the game reveal earlier this month.
Since that was during a PS5 event we fully expect Zion to be the next-gen cover star.
The third cover athlete is likely to be on the Legends Edition.
There is really only one choice for the Legends Edition, the recently departed and sorely missed Kobe Bryant.
Release date reveal promised
NBA 2K21 will finally announce its release date, price, and open up pre-orders on 2 July. Our current release date window is Fall 2020, but the specifics will clear this up soon.
First NBA 2K21 Cover Star Revealed
2K has revealed the first cover athlete – Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers!
We expected the trio of cover athletes to be on each different edition of the game, but 2K has gone a different way.
Lillard will be the current-gen platform cover athlete. So come release day if you buy a NBA 2K21 on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Stadia, or PC you’ll have Lillard’s skywalking dunk on the cover.
There will be a next-gen cover star for PS5 & Xbox Series X when those consoles finally arrive.
