PlayerUnknown Battleground (PUBG) players have been reporting frequent crash of their favourite game.
Some players have reported seeing a crash report that tells them what happened, while other players are taken back to their desktop page.
If PUGB game is crashing on your PC, here are some solutions that can resolve the crash issues you are experiencing
Fix: PUBG crash on PC
Solution 1: Uninstall and reinstall the PUBG game
- Uninstall the PUGB game from your PC,
- Delete all files and folders associated with the game
- Perform a clean reinstallation by downloading a fresh version of the game.
Solution 2: install the latest PUBG update
- Visit the PUBG web page and download the latest patch update for the game.
- Install the downloaded patch update
- Restart your computer
- Launch the game to check if the problem is solved
Solution 3: Disable overclocking in your PC
- Restart your PC and access your PC’s BIOS settings during startup
- Select the ‘Advanced tab’>> ‘Performance’
- Check for ‘Overclocking’
- Disable overclocking if it is enabled
- Save the altered BIOS settings by pressing the F10 key on your keyboard
- Press ‘Y’ for ‘yes’ to exit BIOS settings and continue with system startup.
- Launch the game to check if the problem is solved.
Solution 4: Update your drivers manually or automatically
To automatically update your drivers,
- Download and install the driver update software on your PC.
- The software notifies you of drivers that need to be updated
- The software updates the outdated drivers automatically if granted permission
To manually update your PC’s driver,
- Access your PC’s device manager from ‘System properties’ by right-clicking on ‘This PC’ from the ‘File Explorer’ in your start menu.
- From your ‘File explorer’, right-click on ‘This PC’ and select ‘Properties’ from the displayed menu
- From the system properties, click on ‘Device manager’
- From the displayed devices, double-click on any device with an exclamation mark (!)
- Right-click on each displayed options and select ‘Update Driver Software’ with a single click
- Select ‘Search automatically for updated driver software’
- Restart your PC and launch the game to check if the problem is solved.
Solution 5: Run Steam and PUBG as an Administrator
- Access your PC’s hard disk drive (C:)
- Double-click on ‘Program Files’ (x86) access the ‘Steam folder’
- Right-click on Steam.exe and click on ‘Run as Administrator’ >>’Yes’ to run Steam
To run PUBG as Admin, follow the same step above, but from the Steam folder,
- Access the ‘Steamapps’ > ‘Common Battlegrounds’ >> TslGame > Binaries > Win 64 > TsLGame.exe.
- Right-click and Run as Admin.
