Credit: Steam

If you’re into survival horror games, perhaps you’re a fan of the Silent Hill series. However, Silent Hill 2 was released more than two decades ago, but that doesn’t stop gamers from being optimistic about the impending remake of the game.

We can finally have a good idea about when Silent Hill 2 Remake is coming out, thanks to PCGameBenchmark, a publication that has also revealed the system requirements for the highly-anticipated game. While the game remake definitely won’t go easy on your PCs hardware, it may be a bit more important at this point to find out when it launches.

Silent Hill 2 Remake launches during Q1 of 2024

The website in question claims that the remake of the 2001 game Silent Hill 2 should launch at some point during the first quarter of 2024. Since 2023 is almost over, we will rapidly find out exactly when the game will come out.

Let’s look a bit at the future title’s system requirements, thanks to the source mentioned above:

Minimum:

RAM: 12 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080/Radeon RX 5700 XT
CPU: Intel Core i5-8400/Ryzen 3 3300X
Storage space: 50 GB
OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Recommended:

Silent Hill 2 Remake will be built using Unreal Engine 5, which is another strong argument that the game will indeed be visually pleasing. Another interesting aspect is that the upcoming remake will be available only for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC, judging by the information we have at this point. There’s no mention of Xbox or Nintendo Switch so far, although that could change in the near future.

Either way, there’s very little time until we find out for sure what’s cooking in the case of Silent Hill 2 Remake.
