Madden 21 Release Date: Early Access, Ratings Reveal, Ultimate Team, Franchise Mode, Editions, Cost & more

We finally have an official release date thanks to the Madden 21 trailer.

With it comes news about Early Access, and more recently, some looks into how some of the roster will land on ratings.

Madden 21 Release Date

It’s official, Madden 21 will arrive on 28 August!

It’s a little later than expected but given the COVID-19 lockdown it isn’t a surprise.

The game will drop on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

We also know that the Deluxe Edition and MVP Edition will give players early access.

Ratings Reveal

We haven’t gotten a full roster reveal just yet for ratings, but we have gotten some looks, and some more are expected Monday, 13 July thanks to this Tweet from the EA Madden Twitter account.

It’s looking like we’ll get to see two of the members of this year’s 99 OVR club, so stay tuned for all the updates as they come!

New features

Fans have had a hint at a host of new features for the game.

Higher levels of control are promised this year to “inspire creativity on both sides of the ball”.

New skill stick ball-carrier moves, pass rush moves, and open-field tackling is all promised with the new title.

That should mean a more balanced game that Madden 20, hopefully.

EA Play

EA’s annual showcase was an oddly quiet event for Madden 21.

Given the trailer and all the info that came out about it we had expected to hear more about the game.

Instead, some fans are left in limbo, waiting for more news about what is to come for both Franchise Mode and Ultimate Team.
