Nintendo is often in the business of releasing unique versions of its hardware that match different games — usually coming with colors and designs that also match the specific game from its roster. Now, we have information that a Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon Sword and Shield special edition would come out in November, about two months later than the regular Nintendo Switch Lite models.
In recent months, the company has made announcements for the release of unique versions of the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite, the new exclusively handheld model. Both of which will see a release in September.
The Nintendo Switch Lite will have a lighter body and will see some features removed to receive a more budget-friendly price tag. The device will suffer from a lack of connectivity, ditching the TV docked mode and the Joy-Con controllers. The rumble and IR cameras will also be removed.
Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon Sword and Shield Special Edition
Three specially colored versions will be released in September with an extra special one in November for those equipped with extra patience. For the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, a special edition of the Nintendo Switch Lite will be released that will be in theme with the game.
The Pokemon Sword and Shield symbols that represent aspects of two Pokemon from the Legendary class will appear on the special editions of the Nintendo Switch Lite model. Named after these Pokemon, the exclusive Nintendo Switch Lite will be sold under the name “Zacian and Zamazenta Edition.”
Price, Colors and Release Date of This Nintendo Switch Lite Special Edition
The Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon Sword and Shield special edition will feature a grey color with blue and magenta face buttons. Representations of the two Pokemon will be artistically done on the back of the device.
This device will see the light of the day on November 8th and will have a price tag of $200, which is the same price as the other exclusive models released by Nintendo. The regular Nintendo Switch Lite models will be yellow, grey, and turquoise. They will be available as of September 20th.
The Pokemon Sword and Shield game will not be included in the price, despite Nintendo Switch Lite special edition will come themed with the game symbols. The new Pokemon game is set for release on the November 15th, and you will need to purchase it separately from the Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon Sword and Shield special edition.
