The OPPO Reno 10X Hybrid Zoom with a Shocking Price

After two years from the first concept of the optical zooming on a smartphone, OPPO has decided to try again with the zoom technology. At the trade show from this year, the company has revealed the OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition, a functional smartphone with improved optical zoom features. The device was announced in China last month, and it will come to India very soon. Also, the innovative zoom feature is not the only thing that the smartphone will have.

The OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition and Features

The new flagship OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition supports 5X optical with 10X lossless hybrid zoom, and 50X digital zoom. OPPO Reno has a triple camera setup composed from a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, with a ƒ/1.7 aperture for the primary sensor. And another 8MP camera with a ƒ/2.2 sensor with a 120° wide field. However, the company had used a similar periscopic setup to Huawei’s P30 Pro for the optical zooming. The optical zooming setup uses a 13MP sensor with ƒ/3.0 aperture. On the video department, OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition is supporting 4K 60fps recording, and it’s using multiple microphones for stereo sound. Looking at those specifications, OPPO Reno 10X could compete with Huawei easily.

Moving on the front side of the smartphone, OPPO Reno has a 6.6-inches OLED Full HD + display, and the selfie camera has 16MP. Under the display of the OPPO, you will find the fingerprint scanner. Regarding the hardware, OPPO Reno 10X has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, and it goes up to 8GB of RAM. The battery is big enough (4065 mAh) and it has VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

To sum up, on the software category, OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition runs on ColorOS 6 and comes with Android 9 Pie. It will also be upgraded with Android Q. OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition will go alongside with OPPO Reno Standard Edition which is having the same specs, the only difference is the smaller display (6.4- inches). The prices will be around Rs 39.990 or $ 575 for the OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition, and Rs 32.990 or $475 for the Standard Edition.
