When the Sims debuted in 2000, it was a revolutionary game that essentially allowed us to play God, creating digital avatars and control their lives as we desired. Developed by Maxis and published by electronic Arts, The Sims 4 was the first PC game to top all-format charts in two years and until today sold over 100 million copies worldwide. It is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, macOS and Microsoft Window. The game is free for a limited time until May 28th on Windows and macOS.
Perhaps Electronic Arts are allowing new users to experience for free the game as a way of promoting their digital distribution platform, Origin, whose main rival is the well-known Steam. So if you want to try the game, you just have to make an account for free on Origin and download it. Although the free download option ends at the end of May, as long as you downloaded by then you will be able to play for good as the game license will not expire.
