What is Batwoman?
Batwoman is an American show based on DC comic character Batwoman. It is an Arrowverse show and premiered on The CW on October 6, 2019.
The first season has to have 22 episodes, but because of the Coronavirus hit, the production of the show ended early. And the first season contains only 20 chapters.
The show supports the LGBT+ community as the main lead is the gay superhero.
Batwoman season 2: Kate Kane is not returning?
On May 2020, Ruby Rose playing the role of an iconic and bold superhero of the show, Kate Kane, said that she is exiting the show.
Fans got shocked due to the sudden announcement of their favorite Batwoman.
The production decided not to continue the character of Kate Kane from the comic.
In season 2 of Batwoman, Javicia Leslie is selected for the lead role. The character is new and original and not from the DC comic. Ryan Wilder is a new character.
Ryan Wilder, The new Character
The team decided to bring the whole new character in Batwoman season 2.
Ryan Wilder is not like Kate Kane. She is much different from all the characters of DC comics. That’s why it is the original character until now.
Ryan Wilder is ex-criminal, who runs drugs business. She is all alone; that’s why she is engaged in criminal activities. She is a dangerous fighter and can kill anyone with her bare hands.
Batwoman Season 2 Release Date
All the Arrowverse show would begin their shooting in July, and the show premiered in September/October.
But not this time due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The show is expected to release in January 2021. So, I hope that it can be published on time.
Batwoman Season 2 Plot
Before the Rose departure, The CW released the synopsis in which Kate Kane is supposed to fight with Jacob Kane.
But now Ruby Rose has exited the show, and the team didn’t recast Kate Kane but introduced a new character, Ryan Wilder.
New synopsis is not known. It will be interesting to see how Ryan Wilder finds her way to become Batwoman and save Gotham City.

Javicia Leslie is excited to become Batwoman. She showed her excitement by saying.
