For those who do not know, TubeMate Youtube Downloader is an internationally appreciated app, commonly used for downloading videos from sites like YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo and Facebook. It used to be only available for Android, but here are some steps to download and install it for Windows too!
Step 1: Emulator
In order to be able to run Android apps on PC you need to use an emulator. An emulator is a kind of software that allows a platform to behave like another one (in our case, Windows will behave like Android).
Search for an emulator online and just pick one, it doesn’t really matter what you use. BlueStacks is recommended as it’s extremely stable and fast (and free, too!).
Step 2: downloading TubeMate
Launch the emulator, and then search for “TubeMate” in the search field, then pick “Search Play for tubemate”, and then install the app.
You can now simply open the app from your pc. Alternatively, you can download the apk for TubeMate while in BlueStacks and install it.
Step 3: Using TubeMate
You can search for videos on TubeMate, open a target and the click the green button at the top right corner, and then a list of available output options will pop up.
Alternative without emulator
There are other video downloaders for PC in the market. Many of them are as powerful as TubeMate, for example WinX YouTube Downloader. This tool is specially built for windows, so an emulator isn’t needed, therefore keeping things simpler.
