Jailbroken iPhones will be Given to Hackers to Check for Possible Security Bugs

Ever since commerce was first invented, a clandestine market appeared right around the corner. This underground economy characterized by transactions that have some aspect of illegality is called the black market.

There is a black market for almost everything in this world, starting from forced labor, to personal information, weapons, animals, alcohol, medicine to housing rental, you name it. So, the fact that there is a black market for Apple devices does not come as a surprise to anyone.

The measures are taken by Apple to thwart the black market

Recently, there was an announcement that the black market for developer iPhones used especially to track down undetected iOS vulnerabilities was expanding. It is something normal for hackers to give information about the bugs to the highest bidder.

In order to thwart this practice on the black market, Apple announced that they will intentionally jailbreak some of their iPhones. This decision is supposed to be quite efficient as it will be more facile for them to track down bugs and issues of Apple devices and address these vulnerabilities back to the company.

The ones that will be beneficiaries of these jailbroken iPhones are hackers that Apple employed to detect the bugs. By being part of the Apple team of researchers, the company will be in charge of the people who have access to the gadgets. This way, there will be no more information leaks.

These iPhones will be a notch better than commercial iPhones and hackers will be able to perform more operations on them than the normal ones.

Apple have not disclosed yet the model of iPhone that will be used as an experimental device, but it was revealed that the company wants to create a program just like the one for iPhones, but for Mac devices. The new program was not officially announced yet.
