Regardless if you’re an anime fan or not. Chances are, you’re aware of My Hero Academia. The superhero anime is based on Kohei Horikoshi’s manga series of the same name. Produced by Studio Bones, the anime debuted in April 2016 and the first season ran till July 2016. After that, the series has released three more seasons. Overall, the series has aired 88 episodes to date. The fourth season of the anime recently concluded its run on April 4, 2020. Additionally, two anime movies have also hit the theatres.
My Hero Academia got a quick rise to fame. The series is extremely popular among not only anime fans but general viewers as well. The series is also a huge commercial success. Moreover, it has also received positive reviews from critics. Many of whom have placed My Hero Academia in their top lists.
My Hero Academia Season 5: Release date
Fans have been anxiously waiting for news on the hit anime series ever since the season finale released. And after months of wait, we can now confirm that the anime has been renewed for a fifth season. Though we don’t have any release date yet. However, the current pandemic has certainly affected the production of the new season. Right now, we expect a release date of late 2021 or early 2022.
My Hero Academia Season 5: Possible cast
Of course, a new season wouldn’t be complete without the UA students. This means, Izuku Midoriya (voiced by Daiki Yamashita / Justin Briner); Shouto Todoroki (Yuki Kaji / David Matranga); Katsuki Bakougo (Nobuhiko Ikamoto / Clifford Chapin) and others will be returning to the academy. Furthermore, we expect to see more of Endeavour (Tetsu Inada / Patrick Seitz); All Might (Kenta Miyake / Christopher Sabat); Mirio Toogata (Tarusuke Shingaki / Ricco Fajardo), among others. As for the antagonists, we believe All for One ( Akio Ootsuka / John Swasey) and Tomura Shigaraki (Kouki Uchiyama / Eric Vale) will wreak havoc again.
My Hero Academia Season 5: Expected plot
Unfortunately, details about the plot haven’t been revealed. Though we do know that season five will also follow the manga. However, we presume that the upcoming season would continue where the previous season left off. Deku will learn more about the One for All. In addition, Endeavour’s journey to redemption will also be delved into. And, his relationship with his son, Shouto, will probably be explored as well. Rumors also suggest that Deku will be getting a new power-up in the next season.
My Hero Academia Season 5: Storyline
The anime is set in a world where people with superpowers exist. In it, Izuku Midoriya is a teenage boy with no powers. Though he desperately wants to become one. One day, Izuku receives superpowers and joins UA, a school for people with powers. The story follows Izuku as he learns to use his powers and carries the burden of becoming the next symbol of hope. In his journey, he makes new friends and fights against adversaries.
